M5 Wheels and Disk Brakes
The M5 wheels are 10cm wider and has wider brake shoes thus better stopping power. The spokes are symmetrical and are held in place by straight grip vs where on the stock bottle cap type wheels are with a hooked nip. The M5 wheels are very strong, true, and has good braking. The brake shoes for the M5 are 10mm wider.
Disk brakes make a big performance difference and importantly we are able to install disk brakes with inverse levers thus keeping the authentic vintage look.
Most clients like the authentic old style thus prefer to keep the vintage brakes. The disk brake with the inverse lever is a great upgrade option. |
