YinChuan Gallery:
The
YinChuan Motorcycle festival is the largest in Asia.
This year over 7,000 motorcycles from all over China
attended. This event is scheduled for October of every
year.
The
Fire Dragons and Wang Xin has lead this trip for sidecar
riders in Beijing every year since 1999, which was
the first festival. Interestingly, Hollis Zhao at
FHL was one
of the founders of this event. The ride this year
lasted 9 days, 17 sidecars went from our group, travelling
a total of 3,200km, through 5 provinces, and the highlight
was visiting Hankow and seeing the Yellow River waterfalls.
Every year the roads get better, and the trip gets
easier, the reforestation of the desert can be seen.
Another highlight is seeing the natives of Shaanxi
live in holes dug out of the side of mountain somewhat
similar to Cappadocia in Turkey and Afghanistan
